Test Engineer - paying up to £43,000 - Peterborough 

Vibrant, growing and fast paced company looking to grow their team. 

The Test Engineer will have knowledge and experience of coded test automation tools and frameworks along with having experience of writing and programmatically coding automated tests, debugging, execution and results reporting along with supporting the development of test automation strategies and approaches for their project.

Ideal person will have the following: 
• Proven experience in a full time Test Engineer position
• Able to construct automated tests for software under test
• Able to understand the technical landscape and the business domain
• Understand the software architecture and construction
• Understand operating environments
• Able to develop and maintain test automation framework using tools appropriate to .NET Web based applications
• C# experience
• Understanding and experience of implementing Continuous Integration
• Understanding of unit testing frameworks
• Able to adapt and work with automation tools currently in place within the organisation
• Knowledge of SQL and querying of databases
• Able to understand complex programmes / environments in short period of time
• Able to undertake non-functional tests, such as Performance and Security Vulnerability testing (desired but not essential)
• Experienced in the selection and use of appropriate test techniques in different situations
• Good knowledge of development life cycle
• Good degree of IT & systems literacy / competence
• Excellent communication both oral and written
• Minimum A level standard or equivalent with appropriate commercial training in quality assurance testing (desirable but not essential)
