  • About the role

    Responsible for carrying out the testing of products and services developed in the business area, producing test documentation and executing functional tests to contribute to the overall quality of the system under test. Specifically the role will cover:

    • Testing multiple financial services applications
    • Forming part of project teams to review and agree system and business requirements
    • Scripting and reviewing test conditions and manual test scripts
    • Assisting in production of user documentation where required
    • Manual test execution and recording of test results
    • Reporting of defects, following through to resolution
    • Working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Developers to meet test requirements
    • To keep all relevant parties informed of any delays or risks to key dates or milestones
    • To ensure the quality of the product(s) is of a high standard and is of suitable robustness for client release
    About you

    You will come from a testing background, with significant experience working in a quality assurance testing environment. Your IT skills will including Word and Excel, but also writing SQL and XML statements would be desirable. The ability to manage relationships with stakeholders internally and externally will come naturally to you, supported by excellent communication skills.

    What you’ll bring to the team:
    • Work closely with Business Analysts and Developers to understand fully the functional and business requirements of the software under test
    • Create and maintains test plans to current company standards to be used at both integration and system test levels
    • Execute test plans in accordance with the test schedule, including both manual testing and the use of automated testing tools
    • Perform regression testing efficiently and effectively
    • Ensure defects found are raised on the Defect Tracking Tool (JIRA) in accordance with company standards
    • Once fixed, ensure the defects are retested and actioned as appropriate
