Our client is an extremely reputable, British manufacturer of Vehicles supplied both nationally and internationally. They specialise in the design and manufacture of such Vehicles and are a leader in their respective market. They are currently experiencing a ramp up of work and are expanding their Engineering function across multiple sites in the UK to satisfy global demand.

Overall Purpose
• As part of the Engineering Team, this role will be assisting with organising, conducting and monitoring tests on vehicles. Building suitable test rigs to carry out system and sub system testing

Skills, Behaviours and Experience
Please give a full description below: -
• Able to work with little supervision and as part of a team
• An ability to learn quickly
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to use of workshop equipment: folders, guillotines, drill presses, wood working sanders, metal saws, band saws and hand tools such as rivet guns, air saws, hand drills etc.
• Time served craft / technician apprenticeship or equivalent
• Application of strain gauges
• PCV driving licence
• Health and Safety
• Data collection- instrumentation and data collection

Main Tasks / Responsibilities

• Manufacture and development of test rigs
• Instrumentation of vehicles and their systems
• Application of strain gauges
• Operation and control of test rigs
• Workshop maintenance
• Fabrication of prototype parts
