Temporary Press Officer

A global commercial Charity are looking for a temporary Press Officer to join their corporate communications team as soon as possible on a 6-month contract paying a day rate of up to £170ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to promote the organisation's projects across various UK media channels.

Main Duties:

  • Assisting of national media campaigns supporting the organisation's focus and contribute to the wider corporate plan
  • Monitoring press coverage, prepare reactive media responses and generate evaluation reports
  • Working on PR plans and press releases
  • Lead the team's budget admin
  • Organising photo calls and press launches
  • Establish positive relationships with notable journalists and influencers
  • Advising senior stakeholders on responses to the media
  • Answering phone calls from journalists and respond to any questions

Person Specification:

  • Degree or professional qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations are highly desirable
  • Charity, Government, Council or Commercial experience would be highly desirable
  • Must have strong media experience
  • National experience would be highly desirable
  • First-class stakeholder engagement skills
