An experienced Payroll/Finance Officer is sought by a leading federation of schools in Hackney, to work as part of a close-knit professional team providing support for the payroll and finance function across four schools.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working within a team of seven, the Payroll/Finance Officer will provide payroll support for 400 teaching and support staff across the schools, resolving queries relating to HMRC, tax, pensions, P45 and P11D's.

As a dual part of this role, you will be responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts, review of budget allocations, ensure the integrity of the nominal ledger and provide monthly bank reconciliations using PS Financials.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level and is AAT qualified or equivalent, preferably with experience of working as part of a team in an academy setting. Your excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy and attention to detail will be essential for this role coupled with advanced Excel skills.

This is a full time, on site, all year through post. There is no hybrid working available.

The successful candidate will hold a current Enhanced DBS check or will be subject to one.

This has the potential to be a permanent post.
