Venn Group Human Recourses Recruitment Team are currently recruiting for an interim HR Business Partner for our Local Authority client based in Devon to begin temporary employment within their team

Location: Devon
Contract Type: 3 Months+
Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday - Friday


  • Create, agree and manage service level agreements and key performance indicators for the designated business areas
  • Drive business performance through the creation and delivery of HR strategy and solutions
  • Minimise waste and optimize value to enable effective delivery of business outcomes
  • Design and deliver internal projects in conjunction with HR to drive employee engagement
  • Develop the recruitment and succession plan in line with the business strategy to replace and develop staff
  • Ensure that structural change is managed and achieves Corporate Plan objectives
  • Support Managers to resolve complex employee relations, individual performance and health and conduct issues and ensure appropriate interventions are used
  • Encourage managers to have clear discussions with staff about development needs and participate is designated support programmes
  • Manage recruitment and succession planning activities
  • Ensure managers are aware of market factors that impact on the attraction and engagement of staff
  • Lead on consultation and foster constructive working relationships with trade unions and employee forums as appropriate

Essential Skills:

  • Grad CIPD- Level 7
  • Previous work experience in a diverse HR unit covering the full remit of issues
  • Experience of providing business focussed HR advice to a wide variety of managers
  • Have managed casework including disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence etc
  • Experience of producing HR policies and procedures and presenting verbal and written reports
  • Understanding of employment legislation, best practice and case law
  • Experience of stakeholder management and/or partnership working
