Are you an organised individual who can work independently and prides themselves on completing tasks to a high standard? An experienced Cleaning & Facilities Assistant is sought by an education charitable Trust in Surrey which provides facilities, services and resources for people affected by autism.

The Cleaning and Facilities Assistant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school and grounds, particularly toilet and bathroom areas, carrying out routine and emergency cleaning. The postholder will also be responsible for specified health & safety checks, maintaining accurate records and stock management of resources. In addition, the Assistant will support with pupil arrival and departures, ensuring vehicles are managed safely and effectively.

The successful candidate will be experienced in undertaking a range of general cleaning duties, able to work flexibly, using your initiative with minimal supervision. The role can be physically demanding, including manual lifting. Working as part of a team, you will be able to work in a pressured environment, prioritising tasks effectively. Previous experience working within a similar role is desirable, or someone who is willing to learn on the job, can demonstrate the values of a good work ethic, resilience, reliability and is a team player.

This is working for a minimum of 12 weeks with a view to going permanent.

A car driver is essential due to the remote location of the school.

This is an onsite, all year through role. No hybrid working available.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, 40 hours per week. Start: Monday 1st August.

The successful candidate will hold a current, or be subject to, an Enhanced DBS check.
