Butler Ross are recruiting a temporary buyer role on behalf of a high volume manufacturer in the automotive sector. This contract is expected to run for at least 3 months and is offering a rate up to £ (Ltd company or umbrella) or £ (PAYE).

As the Buyer you will be responsible for ordering materials from suppliers to meet demand from customers and production, ensuring they are available on time. Stock levels will also need to be maintained to ensure production stoppages are avoided.

Ongoing responsibilities will include managing the bill of materials, managing suppliers closely to ensure delivery, tracking deliveries against orders and ensure that any over supply is returned to the supplier and the ongoing reporting of supply status.

This is a hands on buyer role and prior purchasing experience in a high volume production (ideally automotive) environment would be ideal (but is not essential). Good MS Word and Excel skills are also required.

This buyer role is likely to run for at least 3 months and an immediate start is available.
