Leadership and Development of a Telesales Team

My client is a high technology services provider that has grown rapidly over the last twenty years through providing exceptional customer service and putting people at the heart of everything they do. They treat clients, staff and suppliers with the utmost respect and this has led to a highly successful and profitable company that has won numerous awards for the way they do business and the values that they live by. As part of their continuing expansion they now wish to hire a Telesales Team Leader to take an existing telesales team to the next level.
The Telesales Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of in-bound call agents dealing with both B2B and B2C customers and will help the team develop to become a more effective and integrated unit. The Telesales Team Leader will drive forward service improvements and ensure that agents are trained to upsell and cross sell services to assist customer retention and increased revenues per customer. Managing the day-to-day workload of the team and ensuring all KPIs are achieved, the Telesales Team Leader will be responsible for the development of individual team members and also improvements in processes and procedures within the department. He or she will play a key role in the interface with sales and delivery teams.
The successful candidate will have experience of leading a telesales team and will be used to delivering against targets and deadlines. He or she will be a confident and proactive individual, used to getting to grips with issues quickly and effectively. Specific technical skills are not required so much as a strong coaching leadership style and the ability to identify areas of weakness and work to improve them. Needless to say, candidates will have excellent customer skills and will have the enthusiasm and drive to really make a difference in an already successful and expanding organisation.
