ROLE PURPOSE To sell the companies products and services to existing and potential new customers in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager, from and internal office based operation. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY'S To contact and sell to an existing customer base from an INTERNAL OFFICE BASED OPERATION ensuring that all relevant contacts are regularly called, demonstrating the ability to maximise selling time by excellent planning and organisation.
Maintain the highest level of integrity, customer confidence and satisfaction through regular telephone, email and postal contact. To achieve GPI and Sales Targets as agreed as part of an individual set of Personal Objectives and to ensure that these are monitored and reviewed on a regular basis. To understand and interpret customer requirements and use every sales opportunity to promote the full product range and service offering. To take the initiative to target and open new customer accounts, projects and follow up enquires in a timely manner. To provide innovative product and service solutions to differentiate our offer to the customer. To proactively maintain and develop long term customer relationships.
To establish and maintain an excellent level of communication between all elements of the organisation, its customers and suppliers by internal networking. To maintain accurate customer records and to work in accordance with the Sales Management System. Through consistent planning, make the most effective use of time to achieve set targets and objectives. To work with the Branch manager(s) and branch staff to optimise the despatched sales and ensure that all existing and potential customers receive the appropriate level of contact. Under direction from the Tele Marketing manager, carry out specific sales development project work within the Department. Able to use business data to develop and implement sales objectives/strategies Commercially aware Knowledge Heating and plumbing product knowledge In depth knowledge of heating and plumbing independent merchant channel Other attributes Communicates confidently and effectively at all levels Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team Highly motivated and results driven Wishes to develop their career within a major group
