Location: Cowley (OX4)
Salary: £16,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Sunday (five in seven) (6:00 pm - 12:00 am)

Opportunity:

Calling all customer service gurus! We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with a personality to match, joining an award-winning private car hire service provider in Cowley, Oxfordshire.

Boasting a Silver Award at the Professional Driver QSi Awards, a prestigious award in the Private Hire Operator (81+ vehicles) category of the UK’s only national awards for the private hire, taxi and chauffeur sector and a leader in the Oxfordshire market; this business are looking for a Telephonist to join their team from their office in Cowley.

The role of Telephonist is office based and focuses on assisting customers with questions, bookings and anything customer related by way of telephone engagement. The role will (particularly on weekends) involve high volumes of calls thus you will need to be diligent, a sound communicator, able to multiple and liaise with drivers, customers and manage computerised bookings with expert efficiency.

The Company:

A family run business since 1991, securing major contracts; this business are now recognised as Oxford’s largest private hire service provider. Initially founded with a modest fleet of just 4 cars which has grown to a wide range of all vehicles types to meet the needs of our valued customers in Oxford.

This private car hire service now have a fleet of over 400 vehicles consisting of People Carrier/Minibus, Wheelchair Accessible, Estates, Saloon/Hatchback, Executive, and VIP vehicles. From local runs; airport transfers, long distance pickups and drop offs, and occasionally have crossed the channel!

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and manage tasks simultaneously.
  • A sense of humour!
  • Flexible and able to accommodate occasional high volumes of calls.
  • Highly motivated and have the ability to make/receive large volumes of calls.
  • A genuine interest in forging a career within the field of customer service.
