Telephone Triage Nurse
Full Time, no nights but includes some weekend work
Major Healthcare is working with a leading International Medical Assistance company who provide a world-wide medical & travel security service, dealing on average with around 350-500 cases per day.
The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging call and offering advice, diagnosis and providing recommendations via telephone as the cases (patients) could be anywhere in the world.
You will ideally have 2 to 3 years demonstrable experience in an acute setting, A&E, Nurse Advisor, telephone triage nurse role etc. (although Nurses with broad experience across various general / other specialities can apply) and have very strong clinical knowledge. As this is a telephone based role you will have to be comfortable and confident using the phone to advise and provide potential diagnosis. You will keep your clinical knowledge up to date, and retain your PIN, with quarterly placements in a local West London hospital.
Qualifications / Experience
- RGN ideally with 2+ years in an Acute setting or a broad nursing career across more general settings
- Excellent command of the English language / communication skills
- A second language would be desirable
- Comfortable using the phone
- Accurate report writing skills
- Current NMC PIN
