Technical Trainer - Field Based
We are currently recruiting for 3 x Technical Trainers to be based North, Central and South to support out vast branch network and customer base with providing technical training.

A field-based role, training customer technicians to an advanced level, demonstrating and installing diagnostic equipment, whilst offering an excellent and professional service.
Reporting into: Head of Training
Key Stakeholders: Workshop Solutions field team, Technical Field Specialists, Divisional Account Managers, Regional account Managers, Account Managers, Support Functions, Branch Network
Direct Reports: None
Key Accountabilities:
Delivering Auto Education technical training courses to customers and technicians
Delivering MOT Level 3 Tester and Management courses to customers and technicians
Engaging with the network and supporting field-based account managers’ technical training
Providing training as and when necessary to internal colleagues
Delivering training to our Key Accounts customers and Bodyshop’s
Creating training material to add value to the existing training programme
Engaging with existing customers to maintain training relationships and gain valuable feedback on the success of the training they have received; using the information to ensure continuous improvement of course content
Keep up to date with the latest technology and training techniques within the industry
Ensure participation for the courses is at the minimum targeted level
Achieve required KPI’s set out by your line manager
Monitoring candidate pass rates to ensure training requirements are met
Ensuring all courses are compliant with IMI Standards i.e. relevant paperwork and documentation is completed
Working and supporting local colleges
Supporting apprenticeship schemes
Delivering high standards of customer service and support
Knowledge and Skills:
Fully conversant with modern vehicle technology
Highly motivated and flexible towards your work and time constraints
Trustworthy and confident to work unsupervised within the field
The ability to grow strong inter-personal relationships
You will be expected to act as an ambassador for the company and its objectives at all times
Excellent communication skills
Positively assertive
Professional standards of appearance
Key Competencies:
Fully qualified vehicle technician to a minimum level 3, ideally Master Technician with MOT experience
The ability to deliver technical training in both classroom and workshop environments
Previous training experience would be preferable but not essential
Excellent PC and software skills
Work Hours:
42 hours per week; Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.30pm.
