They are now looking for both a Technical Surveyor and a Senior Technical Surveyor to join their team to provide a technical support service to deliver a wide range of inspection and repair services to HRA and SHG assets.

The Technical Surveyor will work in a whole range of properties including domestic properties, commercial premises, public buildings and schools. Duties will include responsive repairs inspections involving the identification of rechargeable repairs, diagnosing all types of defects including dampness and, remedial works, prioritising of work, empty property (void) inspections, stock condition surveys, producing schedules of work and supervision of remedial works, work in progress and post work inspections.

The Senior Technical Surveyor will effectively manage a team of Surveyors along with the Assets Inspector, and will carry out a range of surveys to domestic and commercial premises pre and post repair, recording asset condition. You will ensure that inspections, surveys and repairs comply with the landlords repairing obligations to mitigate against claims for disrepair, personal injury and fitness.

Both roles require a recognised building related qualification (HNC or equivalent) along with experience working in social housing maintenance. You will have experience and knowledge of the landlord and tenant legislation along with experience dealing with contracts and contract management.

The Senior Technical Surveyor role will require experience of successfully managing, engaging and empowering staff and delivering services within standards and targets.
