My client a large local authority are looking for a Technical Support Officer/ Technical Administrator, if this post will be temporary 3-6 Months with a view to role going permanent with the client.

The role.

Provide a robust and dedicated administrative support service to Surveyors and Management within a Surveying and Maintenance Section of a Large Local Authority.
Assisting with key Health and Safety compliance to both Commercial and Housing stock.
Work alongside key technical and management staff within Property Services
Providing a reliable and robust support service for key compliance areas, alongside direct update and management of compliance databases.

Update and management of the service Health and Safety databases Compiling and running reports
Booking and scheduling maintenance and inspection visits, and updating the database.
Raising order numbers and purchase orders.
Ensuring external and internal contractors are aware of key deadlines and requirements.

Essential Criteria

Good understanding of MS office packages and their use.
Good general education including a minimum of 4 GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English

Good/previous experience of support and assisting a front line key service, achieving critical and essential results
Able to organise and prioritise work under pressure and use own initiative in order to provide clear and clarified information under minimum supervision
Evidence of supporting key staff and resolving issues.

This role supports the Property services team within a Large Local Authority and as such it would be the clients desire for the candidate to have worked in a similar environment, i.e other Local Authority Property team, Housing Association or other construction, Health and Safely or Maintenance environment.

3-6 month contract with a view to the role going permanent.
