What does the role involve?

The role of the Support Engineer is to respond to technical enquiries about Products and Services across the complete Hilti portfolio. It is a wide and varied role requiring a good knowledge of engineering principles and common applications across the Building Construction and/or Energy industries. The role will involve receiving and responding to enquiries from designers and customers and this can be either on the telephone or through email. Accurate and timely response is essential so the role would suit a well organised, high motivated individual with an interest in engineering and the construction trades.

Who should apply?

We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best account managers joined us with no experience. So, if you’ve never worked in sales or construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.

What you need is:

  • Good basic engineering competence (HNC / BSc / Arch Tech)

  • Trade knowledge (Building construction, architectural)

  • Software competency (familiarity with Windows, CAD, calculation software e.g. MathCad etc.)

  • Good communication and relationship skills

  • Confident with enthusiasm for problem solving and accepts responsibility for self-learning & development
