Due to expansion an exciting new role has arisen for an office based Technical Support Engineer. You will support service engineers, internal and external customers alike. Some site work may be required so the successful will get the opportunity to travel round the UK visiting customers sites, therefore a clean driving licence is essential.
You will be responsible for the issue of technical quotations to customers, organise for accepted work to be carried out and issue of daily work, job information and technical support data to engineers.
On a daily basis you will be required to support all other members of the service team and the Projects / Installations department as required.
Assisting internal and external customers with technical problems.
Organising a service site visit to determine what is required.
Providing quotations and estimates for repairs to customers.
Organising accepted quotation work to be carried out.
Implementing suitable remedial actions as necessary.
Lots of initiative, a dynamic approach and exceptional organisational skills is a must
Ability to take responsibility and ownership of your duties by providing a superior level of service.
Being honest and courteous in all dealings with customers and members of staff.
Excellent customer service skills
The ideal candidate will have relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications.
Preferred experience in commercial gas and oil burners
Preferred experience with Motors, PLC's, variable speed drives/ inverters and HMI's
General understanding of technical drawings
Commercial awareness in all aspects of company related duties.
Ability to deal with tasks relating to legislation
Ability to manage customer expectations
Computer literate with Microsoft packages
Good knowledge of report generation & database input
Good team player

£31000-£34000pa depending upon experience & qualifications
