A well established manufacturing company based in Bishop's Stortford who manufacture lights for the automotive sector are recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team. You will have experience within Technical Sales Support within a manufacturing company, You will be a fantastic communicator and able to organize efficiently.
Technical Support Engineer Duties:-
Taking orders over the telephone, fax and e-mail;
Inputting orders into the system ensuring they are entered correctly and promptly;
Monitoring ongoing orders;
Handling customer requests;
Answering customers telephone queries;
Maintaining good customer relations;
Processing all sales-related paperwork;
Designing lighting kits;
Drawing components and kits using Autosketch;
Answering technical queries via phone call and email from customers and all departments;
Answering queries from Purchasing, Production and Sales Department;
Liaising with Purchasing and Production to ID alternative parts where needed;
Adding special prices;
Signing off new parts made by production;
Understanding importance of EU Legislation;
Research for wiring codes for new vehicles;
Submitting Intrastat Declarations;
Ensuring homologation compliance;
Handling customer requests.
Skills and experience needed for this Technical Support Engineer:-
Previous experience in a Technical Sales Support Engineer type role;
Experience with light products an advantage;
Fantastic communication skills;
Be able to organize various projects;
Have good technical knowledge of how a manufacturing/production company works.
