Technical Support Engineer required to join a leading supplier of integrated solutions for the manufacture of microelectronic devices, including silicon semiconductors, compound semiconductors and flat panel displays.
The Technical Support Engineer will join their growing team and be part of their continuing success be based at their site in Clevedon, Somerset but commutable from Bristol, Avon, South Wales, Gloucestershire and Taunton.

The main purpose of this Technical Support Engineer job is to provide technical support, act as an interface between the factory and the field and to help develop the support package offered by the factory and company as a whole.

Main Responsibilities for Technical Support Engineer Job:

*Diagnose and resolve customer and internal problems- escalating problems where necessary to more experienced staff.
*Provide support to customers and Customer Facing Divisions by adjusting and/or modifying existing designs.
*Participate in straightforward problem specification analyses and explore route cause analysis.
*Review detailed acceptance test plans, etc. With customers where applicable without supervision, and participate in negotiating detailed technical changes, with guidance as appropriate.
*Document all work to standards, clearly and concisely.

Key Skills required for Technical Support Engineer Job:

*Previous experience of providing technical support along with diagnosing and resolving problems in an electro-mechanical instillation/commissioning/testing position.
*Familiar with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and complex machinery.
*Confident in communicating with all levels and disciplines of engineers.
