We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join our team of engineers who take great pride in their work and have a passion building upon long term relationships with customers. You will be continually challenged as you will be exposed to new technologies. You will receive constant support and guidance from senior management and your technical knowledge will be further enhanced through training and development.

In this role you will provide technical servicing and maintenance to hi-tech large automated machinery including support of associated computer systems across the UK. You will be organised, be enthusiastic, committed and ready to take responsibility for coordinating and managing your own time to ensure service calls are prioritized and followed through to completion. Hence leaving a positive experience with our client. You will be home based and will be required to visit clients sites as scheduled.

Technical Support Engineer (South Coast Area)

Are you a Technical Support Engineer who is who is conversant with the likes of vending machines, Printers / PC hardware and bored of your daily routine, have a passion for technology, keen to enhance your skills, likes solving a problem and a people person full of energy?

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Omnicell systems at customers, predominantly (but not exclusively), on the South Coast Area.

The role will involve carrying out scheduled maintenance and dealing with ad hoc support calls, either remotely or on-site. This will include replacing parts, fault finding, performing quality and safety checks, tidying and counting stock.

You will be required to provide out of hours cover for evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

On occasion you may be required to join our Project Teams assisting with the installation and configuration of Omnicell systems

Responsibilities:

  • This is a hands-on technical role for which you will need to have practical and technical skills.
  • Very important personal qualities will include your ability to think on your feet.
  • We are a company which prefers to promote from within and so a Service Engineer’s career can progress into a Commissioning/Installation Engineer and Project Management.
  • You will need to live near or within easy commuting distance of the South Coast of England where most of your work will be based. The role will occasionally involve travel further afield to hospitals across the UK and there will be occasional nights away from home.
  • The role comes with a commercial vehicle for business use only.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant High School Education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have relevant industry experience as a Field Service Technician or Engineer.

Work Conditions:

  • Will be required to work additional hours as required for call outs and out of hours triage
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
