Vacancy: Technical Support Coordinator

Location: Wellingborough

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

We are working with our client, a national engineering company who specialise in providing specialist hire equipment to the construction and manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities;

  • Plan, coordinate, prepare and distribute assignments and jobs within the depot.

  • Ensure that the work carried out complies with the required technical standards.

  • Maintain a culture of continuous improvement to enhance the working environment and the performance in the workshop.

  • Assign work to depot staff, providing technical and other instructions on approach and priority.

  • Oversee the proper management of materials, spare parts and equipment.

  • Supervise the staff during execution of tasks.

  • Conduct appraisal and assessment interviews with depot staff.

  • Discuss remedies for deviant behavior with HR Manager, and take action where appropriate.

  • Make proposals concerning the working conditions of employees (developments, salary increases, dismissal, training; etc.)

  • Supervise the aspects of safety, health and environment and act on any violations of the standards.

  • Carry out the administration associated with the work (time sheets, goods in receipts, invoices, handle work orders, near miss, accident forms etc.)

  • Oversee the Depot & Yard with regards to facilities and housekeeping.

  • To keep the maintenance of the depot up to date with any work required, obtain 2 or more quotes, which must be authorised by your line manager to proceed.

  • Ensure all staff & contractors have received the relevant SHEQ Induction to site.

  • Ensure all staff & contracts are Qualified for the role they are performing.

Requirements;

  • NVQ level 2, or 3, plant maintenance and CAP qualified or equivalent.

  • Proven track record of 5 years within a similar technical environment.

  • Technical knowledge of AWP’s etc. is essential.

  • Knowledge of MS Office.

  • Experience of leading and coaching employees and how to give correct instructions would be an advantage.
