Our client is a leading name within the Engineered Plastics industry whose products have a wide range of applications across a number of industries including Automotive, Construction, Medical & Scientific Equipment, Petrochemical, Vending Equipment as well as Stadiums and Arenas.
To help drive the next period of growth they are looking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager /Business Development Manager to take responsibility for both new and existing business within the company but with a strong emphasis on new business and new potential applications and markets for the products.
Reporting in to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of sales, managing the existing sales team, comprising of a small sales administration team, a technical manager, costings engineer and sales engineer.
The company currently uses an external marketing company to manage their website, marketing, social media and lead generation and a key part of the role will involve managing this relationship to ensure maximum value for money. Working with the lead generation team to target specific industries and markets you will aim to maximise revenue from existing markets whilst developing a wider portfolio of clients and target industries.
Working closely with the rest of the sales team you will be responsible for managing and attending pre-qualified sales appointments to win profitable business for the company, working with client’s engineering teams, often at the design stage of projects.

The successful applicant will have strong commercial acumen with a proactive approach to sales. Experience of technical sales within an engineering environment would be useful. Energy and enthusiasm for a career in technical sales is essential in what can develop into a senior management role within a successful and growing business.
The company offers a basic salary circa £48k plus bonus based on a percentage of Nett Sales, to be agreed with the successful candidate. The company offers a company pension scheme, life assurance, company car, Laptop, mobile and 23 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays.
