Our retained client is a global leading manufacturer of high-precision, high-complexity, casting and machined components for diverse end-markets. The span of their business covers Automotive, Industrial aerospace and medical, this specific role is for engaging specifically with their Industrial & Automotive clients in UK & Europe. The business boasts over 7000 staff worldwide and is growing rapidly, a turnover in the region of half a billion pounds and a client list that reads like a who's-who of global industry. We are currently looking to fill the role of Technical Sales Manager in their Industrial & Automotive Division with a candidate based in the Midlands, London or Southern England. The role is officially 'home-based'.

Given the fast-paced development of our client's business across Europe we are looking to attract a skilled and results-orientated Sales manager with a solid technical background in the Manufacturing / Parts side of the Automotive sector or alternatively some kind of Industrial Manufacturing. The main responsibility of the role is business development in the Industrial & Automotive Sector in England, however the scope of the role is likely to be extended to other European Markets over the next couple of years. Role Responsibilities would include;

  • Identify & Prospect potential customers
  • Respond effectively to RFQ's, being the owner of RFQ's from customers and being an effective intermediary between the client & internally. Internal Stakeholders could be based in US, China, Germany etc.
  • Lead negotiations and manage Sales Projects
  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients
  • Participate in business exhibitions
  • Supply technical support for sales in Europe by working closely with your technical & engineering teams in Germany & China

This is an exciting role with a top global brand and we anticipate significant interested in this position. As a prerequisite we would request that candidates in their application draw our attention to their specific experience in Sales within the Industrial & Automotive Sector. An engineering background would an advantage and experience (or solid understanding) of Sand Casting products would also be attractive to us. There will be travel involved in the role however our client was keen to point out that employees are looked after very well when asked to travel.

On offer is a Basic Salary anticipated to be in the region of £60k-£65k plus Company Car and the opportunity to make significant performance-related bonus on top of this, delivering an overall package.
