Our field-based Engineering Team are essential to the success of our business by supporting the sales strategy as a critical member of the sales team, operating across the MSC client base, creating leads and opportunities and delivering innovative, market-leading products and services to support our Customer Value Proposition (CVP).

Our value proposition sales strategy means you will be required to build and leverage relationships with key decision makers to build trust and offer services and solutions which help them to grow faster, drive down costs and become more profitable.

Our client base has unique problems that need solving and our sales strategy requires our sales team to build and leverage relationships with key decision makers to build trust and offer services and solutions which help them to fuel their potential.

You will speak with Machinists, Engineering managers, Production Managers and Workshop Managers, depending on the nature of the issue that they have.

The focus and deliverables include:

  • Generate, grow and protect Customer relationships
  • Achieve growth and profitability targets


We are looking to recruit an energetic, passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our Engineering Team as a Technical Sales Engineer, able to identify and closeout high-net machine tool sales delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth

You will be responsible for a client base within a specified geographical area and required to be a primary interface for the Customer optimising the full supply chain ensuring early engagement at key points of influence in the buying process.

Working closely with other members of the Sales Team to understand our Customers and their needs - you will be their champion, translating their challenges and questions into solutions, ensuring Customer satisfaction, account retention and optimising sales by constructing sound commercial deals.


To succeed in this role, you will thrive in a fast paced and agile environment, be a self-starter, highly likeable, flexible, enthusiastic and have a desire to create a Sales team, which others aspire to be part of or emulate.

You will be a practical and 'hands-on' individual able to consult with our Customers and pass on your expert technical knowledge to solve any operational issues that they might be experiencing.

You will need to have a background in various disciplines across multiple sectors coupled with an all-round Metalworking knowledge; focused expertise in one of the following key product areas is critical: Conventional and CNC Machining, Drilling, Milling, Turning, Tapping, Grinding, Toolholding and Workholding.

You will have passion and a mindset to win. Someone who constantly strives to do better, with drive, determination and a strong desire to succeed. A self-starter who uses their initiative to overcome problems to deliver results.

You will be a customer-centric, personable, positive, enthusiastic and technically competent individual that listens to Customers and can provide advice to support to our client base.
