Our Client has grown significantly over a number of years and today is the leading supplier of wheel service equipment to the automotive aftermarket in the UK. They operate at the premium end of the market, consequently the levels of customer service and support they continue to deliver underpin the success.

They are looking for a passionate Automotive Engineer looking to build a career with lots of variety. (or Mechanical Engineer with automotive passion)

Key tasks & Responsibilities

  • Acting as the Technical point of contact for key customers, to offer industry leading best advice/ support and pre-sale advice (both internal to our team and external to customers)
  • Producing detailed engineering drawings in AutoCAD and EC Design.
  • Developing key relationships, progressively, with main suppliers while working with the directors.
  • Executes the complete selling process from opportunity creation/identification through contract closing. This would be for a small regional area and not constitute a fulltime sales role. It would lead to first class product demonstration skills.
  • Qualifying and developing potential new customers and manages the pipeline to ensure that opportunities are pursued in a timely manner and revenue expectations are met
  • Responds effectively to requests for support from the sales team, resolves critical issues and meets all commitments.

  • To act as an assistant for director projects, to support management and to help identify opportunities for change and future developments and to communicate these ideas effectively.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree - with a passion for the Automotive sector.
  • Must be able to communicate with various levels within the company from the admin. team through both the sales force, to directors
  • Ability to travel within the UK and overseas (a valid driver's license and passport without restrictions)
  • Effective communicator (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to represent the company to all levels within customer organizations, from director level to technicians
  • Be a highly self-motivated individual with good organizational skills
  • Be able to work independently without close supervision
  • Work with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude
  • The position will be classified as office based, however it is anticipated that the time split would develop into typically 50% in and 50% out.
