Vacancy - Internal Technical Sales Consultant

Industry - Electrical & Mechanical

Location - Heathrow area, West London

Salary - up to circa £35K negotiable + bonuses OTE up to circa £45K

Our client is a a very successful electrical and mechanical wholesale business. They are recruiting for an experienced Technical Sales person to work in an internal capacity assisting management in driving the business forward.

The purpose of the role is to assist in developing the customer base whilst following up on enquiries via email and telephone. This is with the aim of growing the profitability of the business in line with the commercial objectives of the branch and in a manner which exceeds the expectations of customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responding to enquiries via telephone or email in order to provide quotations to their overseas customers for their electrical and mechanical requirements

To exceed sales and billing margin targets in order to make profit
To develop accounts so that the branch broadens the customer base
To keep aware of trends and opportunities in the marketplace
To promote products and brands that meet the Company’s commercial objectives.
To manage their portfolio of customers in an efficient manner


Telephone sales experience within a technical environment is essential, ideally electrical or mechanical products

The ability to speak an additional language would be an advantage, particularly French, Arabic or a dialect from the Indian sub-continent such as Hindi or Urdu).
Must be able to demonstrate success in a sales role
Experience of working to KPIs, in a Sales and Margin driven organisation

Ability to quickly prioritise tasks
Makes tough decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure
Ability to remain calm under pressure

Working hours are full time but flexible eg Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm OR 9am to 5pm.

Up to circa £35,000 per annum + bonuses and benefits
