Technical Project Manager

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER - MARINE SERVICES - SOUTHAMPTON - COMPANY WITH INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE - £35-40k DOE + COMPANY VEHICLE + PENSION

Our client, a specialist in: marine fabrication, steel fabrication, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and resource management for both marine and land based facilities are looking to take on a full-time Project Manager based out of one of their main workshops located in Southampton. The client look to provide an integrated approach to customers through the knowledge and experience of their multi-skilled management team.

The Role:

The Technical Project Manager role will see you given responsibility for technical projects around the Hampshire and South Coast areas predominantly, with international travel opportunities available in the future.
Typical projects include:
* Fixed plant installations or plant decommissioning.
* Fixed Mobile plant repairs.
* Fabrication/repair/refurbs of ships.
* Fabrication & Installation of bespoke equipment - picking stations, conveyors, hoppers.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years experience as a Technical Project Manager or Project Engineer (Not in IT), a clear communicator with the ability to manage a number of small projects all at once if required.

Essential Requirements:
*Full Uk driving Licence
*Technical project experience as either a PM or PE on relevant projects
*'Cradle to grave' project experience - being involved in all stages of a project from conception to completion

Desirable Requirements:
*Design experience with CAD desirable
*Project Management qualifications - PMP / Prince2 for example.
