Technical Product Manager
Location: Yately, Hampshire
Salary: £61,000
Car allowance: £6700
Bonus: between 18 - 36% (% of half yearly salary paid twice a year) plus additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyse products (mainly TV picture quality)
  • Creation and suggestion of product technical differentiation strategy
  • Collaboration with and support of R&D and European offices to track any issues to resolution
  • Presentation and Demonstration of key benefits and features across all lines of business
  • Manage test process for product performance and benchmarking Research
  • Communication with 3rd party consultants and journalists/media representatives across Europe
  • Managing relationships with important clients and journalists for business

Key Competencies & characteristics

Hard Skills:

  • Experience in TV industry, preferably in the role of Picture Quality or TV specialist
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the latest technologies in TV, display, and related eco-systems
  • Good communication and presentation skills to work with internal and external customers
  • Ability to express our key technical benefits and developments to customers confidently, impressively and passionately
  • Product technical skills and knowledge for both subjective & objective testing
  • Knowledge and understanding of relationships with media and electronic engineering
  • Good Reporting skills using MS office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Soft skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to work to specific standard requirements
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and manage own workload
  • Capacity to manage others if and when required
  • Adaptability to work with different cultures and environments
  • Willingness to learn and internalise in-depth technical information across all supported lines of business
  • Strong and positive attitude to achieve targets and to contribute to & support team

To be successful in this role you ideally have:

  • In-depth experience of technical performance testing of TVs
  • Knowledge of mass-media and TV product industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of a multi-cultural environment within an international company
  • Good navigation & management skills to solve issue and problems.
