  • Provide dedicated support for all payroll activities during upgrade of Peoplesoft HCM & Payroll system.
  • Dealing with complex payroll processes
  • Map out processes and suggest ideas
  • Provide advice and guidance on activities relating to technical/complex payroll processes whilst ensuring adherence to policy and legislation
  • Support the Payroll Manager /Senior Analysts in project deliverables (maintenance of the Payroll processes and company set up (Allowance/Deductions/Reporting set up) within the payroll environment as changes in company benefits, pensions, and legislation occur.
  • Provide technical expertise/support to Payroll Manager for Payroll related activities such as P11D and Payroll Tax year end balancing and reporting
  • Payroll processes are fully documented , adhered to and reporting requirements are fulfilled.
  • Project implementation activities and plans for Payroll are designed
  • New processes (as required) are designed and documented
  • All queries resolved accurately and within KPI's and in compliance with contractual and legal obligations
  • Escalation or referral of all queries are dealt with and resolutions implemented in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with the escalation process.
  • Audits are completed on time and changes required implemented into the payroll and HR processes
  • Data integrity is maintained
  • Ad hoc projects remain compliant with various Tax and pension legislation and service is accurate and on time.


  • Experience of HR & Payroll Systems- specifically Oracle products ideally Peoplesoft - ESSENTIAL

  • Experience of Statutory and Legal requirements i.e PAYE and Pensions - ESSENTIAL

  • Experience of payroll and pensions procedures - ESSENIAL

  • Experience of payroll reconciliations including extensive SAP knowledge - ESSENTIAL

  • Advanced Microsoft office skills

  • Excellent Numeracy and communication skills

  • Ability to communicate complex payroll and finance information to Senior managers and employees across the company

  • CIPP qualified/equivalent or working towards qualifications

  • The job holder will be required to work across when required. A strong customer mindset is critical to the role holder. Work under tight deadlines with accuracy of highly complex technical work completed to a very high standard.

  • This is a 6 month interim role whilst the project is being rolled out
