Role: Technical Manager

Salary: c£40,000-£50,000 basic, + Annual bonus, healthcare, pension, laptop/mobile and a fully expensed car or car allowance.

ROLE - TECHNICAL MANAGER:

My client is a leading distributor of Diesel and Gas Engines and supply, who service and support a variety of markets and applications. A requirement has been made to recruit a first-class Technical Manager to oversee all technical responsibilities in the business.

The position reports directly into a Head of Distribution and has the core remit of overseeing the day to day running of the technical department, with one applications engineer reporting directly into the position. The role be responsible for the approval of engine installation in a variety of applications as well as answering and dealing with technical questions either onsite or over the phone with the customer and internally. In addition, you will be involved with product launches and training.

As much as the role is a requiring technical expertise, they also require a candidate who is strong commercially, with the ability to spot revenue earning opportunities.

Candidate - Technical Manager:

It is essential that the successful candidate has at least 5 years Technical Management experience. Technical knowledge of the product range with experience of diesel or gas engines and their applications is a pre-requisite for the position.

Location wise, you will need to be in the office approximately 3 days per week, with the other two days either onsite with a customer or working from home.

You will need to have first-rate troubleshooting skills with an aptitude for problem solving.
