Technical Manager (High Voltage & Building Resilience)

You will support frontline teams to effectively manage the estate from a High Voltage (HV) and Electrical resilience viewpoint taking responsibility for the implementation of statutory compliance of HV assets / systems across the Estate.

About the role

You will work alongside the Compliance Assurance team to effectively discharge statutory duty holder responsibilities in relation to all HV products and services by ensuring effective implementation of policy and standards. You will be accountable for the compliant delivery of all HV related services within the estate.

Supporting the Compliance Assurance Team you will develop best practice policies, standards and strategic approaches around BES and manage relationships with consultants and contractors.

Accountable as the Senior Engineering professional to fully assess the HV and resilience impacts across all future capital investment programmes  and workplace activities you will take lead role in HV activity for the Estate in terms of programmes by developing solutions which are appropriate, fit for purpose, achievable, reflect key business drivers and offer best value.

About You

You will have an excellent track record of managing HV across a significant portfolio and must be technically qualified at HND level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with experience of High Voltage asset management. You will also hold HV Switching and Controls C&G 0672 or equivalent.

With the ability to lead, motivate and manage diverse teams you will also have excellent stakeholder management skills.

Having excellent analysis, problem solving and negotiation skills you will be able to work at pace and meet stretching targets. A detailed understanding of construction, specification and whole life costs would be an advantage.

Role Location: South East based but a national role with travel expected
