We are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to join our client based in Chippenham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support and escalation for CCTV systems (Hikvision and Avigilon), including camera configuration, VMS/NVR/recording servers, network design and performance tuning.
• Design, review and sign-off CCTV and access control system schematics, cabling topology, and server/network requirements.
• Lead commissioning and fault resolution processes; support on-site engineers and customers with complex faults and networked CCTV issues.
• Manage integrations between CCTV, access control (2N, Paxton Net2) and alarm platforms (Texecom cloud).
• Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration templates.
• Deliver technical training and mentoring for engineering teams; create runbooks and escalation playbooks.
• Work with suppliers (Hikvision, Avigilon, Texecom, 2N, Paxton) on firmware and warranty/technical cases.
• Oversee system health monitoring processes, remote diagnostics tooling, and reporting.

Skills & Experience — Essential:

• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills — able to explain technical issues clearly to engineers and non-technical customers.
• Extensive, demonstrable experience with Hikvision and Avigilon camera systems, VMS and server/network configuration.
• Strong networking knowledge (IP routing, VLANs, QoS, PoE, subnetting) as applied to CCTV and access control.
• Practical experience with Texecom (cloud and system operation), 2N network access solutions and Paxton Net2.
• Proven track record providing technical leadership in security systems (CCTV & access control).
• Holds a full UK driving licence and willing to travel to customer sites.

Skills & Experience — Desirable:

• Fire alarm systems knowledge and experience .
• Experience with system health monitoring platforms or remote management tools.
• Professional qualifications / vendor certifications (Avigilon, Hikvision, Texecom, Paxton, 2N) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience managing a small technical team or being the technical escalation point.
