Technical Engineering Stores Manager

Role Definition:
A customer facing role providing excellent customer service to the Client. You will take responsibility for the supervision of the work of the Stores personnel to ensure service levels and contractual commitments to the Client are achieved.
Job Description:
  • To lead and direct the Stores personnel in the daily operations of the Stores
  • To supervise the day to day duties of the Stores personnel, including:
    • Goods receipting of stock
    • Supplier returns
    • Stock deliveries
    • Rotational stock checks
    • Recording of stock locations for new products required for Stores
    • Recording of stock adjustments and appropriate action to follow
    • Housekeeping
  • To ensure the daily operations of the Stores are in line with Company process(es) and procedures
  • To monitor compliance with Health and Safety within site operations and to ensure adherence to the Company's Health and Safety Policy at all times
  • To provide ad hoc cover in store as and when required
  • To understand and respond to the needs of the Client to maintain exceptional service delivery
  • To lead and direct the operations of the Stores to maintain and improve day to day efficiencies for the Company and the Client
  • To attend site meetings concerning any issue(s) within the Stores and to follow up accordingly
  • To identify cost saving measures of which will benefit the Client
  • To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role

Experience Required:
  • Demonstrated experience of people management and team leadership preferably within an engineering environment

Knowledge Required:
  • Sound knowledge of SAP applications advantageous
  • Working knowledge of stores, inventory management and stock control systems
