Technical Engineer - Mechanical

Role

Provide technical expertise to maintain and improve the availability of mechanical plant and to ensure compliance with regulations, EHS standards and production requirements.

Responsibilities
Perform all duties at all times in compliance with corporate and EHS, business conduct policies, guidelines and the local site Life Saving Rules at all times. Complete all Corporate Compliance training.

Comply with all site standard work requirements.

Provide day to day technical support to plant area team and engineering workshops.

Provide technical support during PM events and outages to resolve emergent issues and technically specify emergent work.

Complete detailed technical specification of pressure system repairs for approval by the RME Nominee.

Work with the Assistant Engineer to develop solutions to mandatory codal actions.

Provide a technical engineering function to PM and service events.

Maintain and update the area mechanical lifeplan ensuring timely recommendation of CAPEX replacement and repair.

Ensure adherence to the site engineering standards and promote a right first time approach.

Champion the defect elimination and asset tactics processes to deliver improved equipment availability and reliability.

Implement innovative technical solutions through data analysis to eliminate repeat failures.

Deputise for the area Engineering Manager.

Comply with all site standard work requirements.

Person
You should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 + years process or plant experience.

Chemical manufacturing experience a distinct advantage but not essential.
