If you’re a Technical Developer with ambition and drive to integrate with the business, understand stakeholder requirements and work in a fast based agile development environment then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Agile methodology development is different to the traditional Waterfall methodology, focusing on software development where the requirements and solutions of a project evolve throughout. It incorporates planning, designing and developing, testing, deployment and continuous improvement, allowing our stakeholders to receive part of the solution after each phase of the development lifecycle.

Role description
You’ll be responsible for the end to end process of agile development, delivering effective solutions to our business whilst adhering to governance frameworks. From planning and design, liaising with internal stakeholders across npower Business Solutions and mapping out the process, to identifying the granular detail and perform core development of the solution. Ensuring the process is seamless, you’ll be using your communication skills to work with the business as subject matter experts to test the product against their business process. Finally, once the end product has been signed off and deployed, you will be the first point of contact for the business and continue to develop any process changes or enhancements.

Skills and experience
Agile development is fast pace and we usually turn projects around in 4-6 weeks allowing excitement and change in a forever changing industry. You’ll have the attitude of great team ethic with the want to muck in and help out colleagues when required.
You’ll need to have:

  • Experience within a Technical Developer role
  • Understanding and use of programming – VBA
  • Experience of an agile development based role/environment or knowledge of agile development principals
  • Stakeholder management with highly influential skills
  • Be very customer focused, internally and externally as you’ll develop solutions to ultimately have an end effect on our customers 
  • Strong team ethic and be a problem solver

It would be nice if you also had the below but it’s not essential:
  • Experience using a Robotic Process Automation tool

Salary and package details:
£30,000-£39,000 depending on experience, up to 10% bonus opportunity, 25 days holiday, a generous pension scheme the ability to opt-in for a wide range of flexible benefits.
