We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Housing Contractor in Norwich for a permanent Development/Design Coordinator.
The successful candidate will ensure the organisation carries out its contractual responsibilities for co-ordination of construction details, manage flow of design information and manage design input of specialist subcontractors. It is desirable for the successful candidate to have the ability to produce CAD drawings.
Attend Contract Launch meeting to agree accountabilities
Process design information and maintain drawing registers
Provide technical advice as necessary
Review design and specifications for alternatives to provide added value
Monitor release of design information against agreed programme
Manage design interface between packages
Produce weekly design reports
Assist Development Manager with Management of construction design phase and co-ordination of Design Team.
Encourage innovative cost effective solutions
Required skills & experience HNC in construction or equivalent. Experience in new build design and build. Knowledge of Planning and Building Regulations and current standards and legislation. A high degree of skill in coordinating the distribution of information and value engineering of consultants designs. A proven team player with the ability to work with minimum supervision. CAD drawing capability is desirable.
