The Agricultural team based at Stradbroke in Suffolk is made up of our team of vets, fields staff, technical and support staff working together to ensure that our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality and efficiency.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our Technical team based at our Stradbroke office, reporting to the Research Manager. The overall purpose of this role is to support the Research Manager and the wider Technical team to ensure that Tulip Ltd remains at the forefront of the British pig industry in terms of technical innovation and performance. The successful candidate will also work to ensure effective delivery of unique selling points, production and commercial efficiency for Tulip Ltd.’s associated customers and producers, and also contribute to the effective delivery of the Tulip / BQP technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities & Main Tasks:

All aspects of day to day management of both commercial / internal trials, including trial proposals, starts, planning, on farm data recording and reporting of results
Enacting change in line with trial results and as appropriate
Communicate and discuss trial work with farmers
Production of the Technical Team’s annual report
Delivery of various technical / research projects
Statistical analysis of business performance data to ensure efficiency through continuous improvement
Supporting the wider Technical team, wherever required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of livestock production as an industry (preferably pig)
Experience of dealing with livestock
Experience of statistical packages, Microsoft Excel and similar Microsoft packages
Experience of scientific trials and report writing
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
