TWC Recruitment are looking to appoint a Team Worker / Shift Machine Operative for a global leading Manufacturing organisation.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Purpose of the job

To assist in the efficient running of designated operational areas (i.e. Polishing, CTL, Despatch, Slitting, Plasma Cutting, Laser cutting , Waterjet, Plate Saw, Tubes and PFS)

Accountabilities

  • To work in all designated operational areas as instructed by Shift Operations Managers
  • To set and operate machines.
  • To update computer system as is necessary upon completion of works instructions
  • Consistently work within the Company’s Q.A. and Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures
  • Assist with maintenance procedures within the limits of personal skill and competence
  • Operate forklift trucks and overhead cranes for material handling
  • Ensure that material is processed and packed to meet the required customer specification.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in and around production areas

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB / Work experience

  • Current Counter Balance forklift truck license essential
  • Knowledge of basic measuring equipment
  • Numerate with a practical aptitude
  • Flexible in approach to work, willing to learn and work in other areas as required
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to communicate and work with all levels of personnel
  • Willing to work overtime as necessary
  • Overhead Crane license ideally required but not essential for particular activities

Hours : Working on a rotational 2 shift pattern based on 39 hours per weekShift 1 05:45am to 14:00pm Monday to Thursday 06:00am to 12:40 Friday Shift 2 14:00pm to 22:15pm Monday to Thursday12:40pm to 19:20pm Friday

Salary £18,600

Location: Sheffield
