Team Manager - Field Work Help Desk

Role Description
This role is responsible for the day to day management of a Metering Field Support Team. You will manage the daily operations of the team whilst providing assurance for both individual and team development and taking ownership for enquiries for both internal and external customers.
You will be expected to assist your team with acting as a point of contact for npower Meter Operatives; identify, categorise and manage all queries through to resolution. Offer solutions to the caller’s queries or escalate them to the appropriate team.
The manager is required to be a single point of contact and takes ownership of escalated or referred queries, to provide an appropriate response and prevent further escalation from the work streams undertaken, whilst also providing team support, 1-2-1’s and team meetings.
Throughout you will also monitor and report on daily work in progress, taking appropriate action to ensure resources are correctly focused and performance standards are met.

Skills & Experience

  • Background of people management and performance managing a team
  • Previous Administration experience in a busy office environment
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Experience of completing meaningful 1-2-1s and annual Performance Development Plans
  • Customer Service ethic and excellent people skills
  • Can use a computer – Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint to a good level with the ability to learn new IT systems

We offer a salary of £23,350 progressing to £25,285 per annum, an impressive flexible benefits package with a great Company Pension, and 23 days holiday. You will work 37 hours a week mainly based at the Leeds office but with some travel to other sites when required.
