We are recruiting a Team Leader to work in a care home specialising in elderly care based in the Reading area. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the residents are receiving person centred care that matches their particular needs and wishes. You will also be responsible for managing the staff team and ensuring that they are meeting the required standards and receiving the necessary training and development. You need to have an eye for detail with auditing skills to ensure that quality assurance, safeguarding and clinical standards are maintained. An understanding of a a commitment to meeting and exceeding CQC requirements is needed. You will be deputising for the Deputy Manager in their absence and be part of the management team.
Our ideal Team Leader will have a minimum of 2 years experience working in an elderly residential care setting, perhaps as a Senior Carer or Team leader or a similar role . You need to have a 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to embrace innovation and a flexible attitude and approach. You also need strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate staff. You need to have a caring nature and enjoy engaging with residents to ensure they are receiving the highest standard of care and quality of life with respect for their dignity. You also ideally need an NVQ Level 3 or above.
The salary for the Team Leader post is circa 28k
