Due to expansion we are recruiting for a Team Leader within an elderly residential setting based in the centre of Cheltenham working a 3 on 3 off rota. This permanent opportunity is paying a highly competitive salary of £24,491 per annum plus overtime.

Your role as a Team Leader will consist of the following:

  • Being the responsible individual when on shift
  • The overall running of the home in close liaison with the senior management team
  • Maintain the efficient and safe running of the home ensuring respect and dignity are maintained at all times
  • Assist in managing a highly compliant home and manage in the absence in the Registered Manager
  • Ensure all duties are carried out on shift to the highest of standards and documented accordingly
  • Writing and updating care plans and risk assessments
  • Liaising with external health care professionals and family members
  • Available for on-call duties on a rota basis
  • Leading handovers to ensure all important information is communicated to all the team
  • Training and induction of new starters
  • Supporting and mentoring staff
  • To be involved in the assessment of residents prior to admission, writing and reviewing care plans accordingly

As a Team Leader you need to possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Senior/ Team Leader capacity in an elderly care environment
  • Ability to work on a 3 on 3 off shift pattern
  • The confidence to lead shift
  • Ability to liaise with senior management and external health care professionals
  • NVQ/ QCF level 3 in health and social care
