Based in a Decontamination Facility, and reporting to the Production manager, the role of the Team Leader is the general management and leadership of the production personnel to meet the business objectives and plan relating to all aspects of operations incorporating safety, quality, productivity and cost.

The ideal candidate will be reporting to, and deputising for the Production Manager, lead the Shift in autonomy on a daily basis to deliver the business needs.
Your duties will include -

Decontamination Facility

" The organising and reporting of medical devices in accordance with strict delivery schedules to meet required turnaround times.
" All trays are scanned through the scanning and tracking system (IMS)
" Counting / checking of tray contents in accordance to packing checklists.
" Reporting of non-conformities through the established routes and documented procedures.
" The following of documented processing instructions which exist for all equipment types.
" The loading of medical devices in accordance with quality procedures and manufacturers recommendations into washer disinfectors.

Packing Area

" The unloading of washer disinfectors and validating process outcomes.
" The organising and reprocessing of medical devices in accordance with strict delivery schedules to meet required turnaround times.
" Instrument trays are sorted in the required order
" The drying and checking of physical condition of instruments / medical devices according to the accredited QA system.
" The assembling and packaging of trays, sets and supplementary items in accordance with instrument count sheets.
" Effective reporting of missing, damaged, defective or non-compliant devices and processes.
" The wrapping and labelling of the preparing of sets for sterilisation process, in line with documented procedures.
" Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of work environment.
" To recommend on a regular basis to improve the service quality.
" To recommend on a regular basis to increase turnover and ensure cost savings.
" To highlight staff issues and recommend corrective actions.
" Dealing with staff issues in an accurate manner

With an attractive salary on offer of up to £25,000 with excellent benefits and holiday pay working on fixed shift 06:00 - 14:00pm.
