Team Leader Children's Support Worker - Loughborough

Are you a Residential Care Team Leader with at least 12 months experience working with young people who have complex needs?

Would you like to join our committed and developing team located in Loughborough?

We are looking to recruit up to 1 new team member to complete our staff team. We support up to 5 young people who present a variety of complex needs varying in severity.

Salary: £9.80 (dependent of experience/qualifications)

You must be over 21 years of age and hold a full UK driving licence

Located in Loughborough the site is a very large 5 bedroom home. The house is one of the larger of Cambian’s homes and team believes it has a family and homely feel.

The home is based 5 minutes away from Loughborough town centre and has great public transport links to and from both Leicester and Nottingham.

Providing encouragement when getting ready for school
Transportation (Use of Company Car)
Care Planning
Meal Planning
Ensure each shift is planned appropriately and resources are allocated, guaranteeing the staff team are able to meet the needs of Children & Young People
Lead a team 
Ensure systems are developed to confirm the effective allocation of resources and will promote the efficient and effective operation of the Home.
Organising and facilitating social activities (outside of school)
Maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry and shopping etc.)
Home management
Liaising with external stakeholders and our own multi-disciplinary team

The day can be very unpredictable and quite easily you could spend the entire afternoon providing 1:1 support managing extremely challenging behavior, the right type of person needs to be flexible, adaptable and able to read situations and help our young people make positive choices.

Shift patterns – what a typical 3 week rota could look like

Monday – 08:00 – 23:00

Tuesday – Off

Wednesday – Off

Thursday - Off

Friday – 08:00 – 23:00

Saturday – Off

Sunday – 08:00 – 23:00

Please be aware that the shifts above do not include sleep ins. Sleep ins are conducted at the managers request you will find yourself doing an average of 6 to 9 Sleep ins in a month. The hours for a sleep in shift would be 08:00 – 23:00 and then 07:30 – 10:30 the following morning. There is some flexibility of working and our manager knows how important a good work life balance is for her team.

A willingness to learn

You will be expected to have a level 3 diploma in Health & Social care.
