About Us:

At the heart of Yodel delivery business we have 3 National Sort andTransport Hubs based in Hatfield, Wednesbury and Shaw receiving parcels fromour high profile clients, sorting these and ensuring safe delivery to one ofour 45+ National Service Centres. Yodelhandle 145 million+ parcels a year and 1 million+ delivered on a peak day! We have 1,200 Trailers in our fleet used forbulk trunking to/from our 40+ nationally based Sort centres at heart of whichare our Transport Operation.

About The role:

You'll be working at the heart of the night shift and be joining our friendly Transport Team in Hatfield. In this role you’ll be working with various Transport Systems includingIsotrak which shows where all our drivers are across the country, Tachomasterwhich records how long our drivers have been on the road and records theirbreaks as well as Excel based records to ensure we are compliant with drivinglegislations and we’re getting our trailers out on time.

Don’t worry if you haven’t worked in in the Transport Industry beforewe’ll train you on the systems and the legal stuff you need to know!

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting into the Shift Manager, you’ll be helping Hatfield's Transportteam to ensure delivery schedules are always achieved.

You’ll be managing several keyadministrative and reporting tasks including:

•Monitoring planned schedules for Hatfield’s Transport team escalatingany issues to ensure we operate within agreed service levels.

•Using our Transport Systems, you’ll help with trailer allocation.

•Monitor the working time directive 48hr average and support us toreview and report on driving infringements.

•Check on the arrival and departures of our vehicles to make sure weare setting out on time and meeting our SLA’s – customer satisfaction is key!

•Administrative tasks such as keeping our drivers records up to dateso for example their driving license expiry dates and training records.

•Supporting on the Transport front desk, dealing with agency andemployer drivers queries, offering friendly and efficient support to ourdrivers.

About You:

You’ll already have gained experience in a fast-paced office environmentin an Admin role.

We’d like to hear from you if this sounds like you:

•It goes without saying you’ll be organised, have excellent attentionto detail and able to manage your workload.

•Be confident to work with various IT Systems and especially workingwith data in Excel.

•A confident communicator and happy working alongside our drivers andManagers alike.

•Up to date knowledge of driver’s hours and working time regulationswould be fantastic but not essential as we’ll give you all the training youneed to understand these areas.
