A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education due to presenting with challenging behaviour are looking for a Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.

**Suitable for Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to become a secondary school teacher through School Direct Training Programme in the future

** Suitable for Teaching Assistant with previous experience working with challenging teenagers
We are looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to work as a learning mentor at a Pupil Referral Unit based in North West London. The role starts this month and will be temporary until the end of the academic year with the possibility of going permanent the following academic year.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be working in a centre that provides an alternative to mainstream education for 11-16 aged pupils whose needs have not been met within mainstream provision. These pupils are referred by the local authority, mainly due to being excluded from school due to presenting with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (EBD/BESD).
If you have experience teaching in a PRU or similar environment as a Teaching Assistant and want to be part of an exceptional team of professionals then please apply immediately.
