Teaching Assistants with PMLD experience needed - Lambeth

Prospero Teaching are currently working with a SEN school in the Lambeth area who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant who has experience working with students with special educational needs.

The school are very welcoming and there is a very calming and friendly atmosphere at the school. The Headteacher has worked hard to build a team that is capable and passionate about their roles within the school. All the staff here have a real desire to help the students in their care and the environment reflects this.

The position starts immediately and is a very rewarding role for the right person!
*Someone with a PMLD background would be fantastic
*Class sizes are small
*Ability to attend training courses

The Teaching Assistant will have:
*A genuine passion for SEN
*Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
*Previous Experience with PMLD or SLD students
*Ability to contribute to the forward-thinking ethos of the school
*An optimistic outlook and the skill to encourage students
*Ability to tap into a student's imagination and expand upon sensory tools
*Good classroom management

The Role will include:
*Helping pupils to develop their confidence, independence, abilities and attitudes
*Working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis

Prospero Teaching requires all teachers to have a fully enhanced DBS check, minimum of two references plus a face to face interview.
