Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEND / Autism & SEMH)
Pay rate: £95.40 – £96.35 per day
Location: Solihull
Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants (TAs) in the Solihull area to support pupils with Autism and associated Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a specialist school setting. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a growing school dedicated to transforming the lives of children aged 7–16.

Job requirements:
• Minimum Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
• Experience working with children in KS2, KS3, or KS4
• Experience working with children in SEND settings
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism and/or SEMH
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, patient, and committed to inclusive education

Role responsibilities:
• Support pupils aged 7–16 with Autism and SEMH to access learning and achieve their full potential
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to deliver engaging and differentiated activities
• Help to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all learners
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils through positive relationships and tailored interventions
• Promote independence, resilience, and wellbeing across all aspects of school life

Smart Education is a specialist Education and Early Years agency, recruiting for both permanent and temporary roles including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals, Nursery Nurses, and Tutors.
