Teaching Assistant
Area: Northfield, Birmingham, B31
Weekly Take Home : £460 -£500
Days: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

Long Term Futures are searching for a proactive and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Northfield area. The successful candidate will support teaching and learning in a Year 6 class, working closely alongside the class teacher. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

The Role:
* Support the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson preparation
* Assist in planning and delivering strategies to enhance pupils' learning experiences
* Provide support for children with SEN and help maintain a positive classroom environment
* Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or across the whole class
* Support group intervention sessions
* Collaborate with staff to provide the best outcomes for pupils
* Build knowledge of the school's curriculum and approach

The Ideal Candidate:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
* At least 1 year's experience working in a Key Stage Two primary setting
* Experience supporting children with SEN
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
* Awareness of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
* Knowledge or experience of working with pupils with additional needs
