Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant based in inclusive Primary school in Newbury. This full-time role offers hands-on experience in supporting KS1/KS2 students and could be a stepping stone to a teaching career.

Role Details:

  • Position:Teaching Assistant
  • Location:Newbury
  • Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm
  • Contract: 12 months (Term Time Only)
  • Pay: £83.50 - £90 per day, based on experience
  • Driving Licence: Preferred
  • Visa: Note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates

About the Role: You will be responsible for supporting the educational and developmental needs of KS1/KS2 students. This role involves safeguarding and monitoring student progress, creating a supportive learning environment, and assisting with daily classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering the KS1/KS2 curriculum
  • Assist with planning and preparing learning materials
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Responsible for safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Requirements:

  • Recent Psychology graduate with an interest in education
  • Experience or knowledge of KS1/KS2 educational stages is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Driving licence preferred
  • Enhanced DBS check (mandatory)
