Teaching Assistant - Salford

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant in a popular Secondary School in Salford. This position is to start September 2024 and will be ongoing and could become permanent.

This position will be ideal for a recent graduate or for someone with teaching assistant experience who is looking to gain more experience in a classroom environment before embarking on a PGCE in September 2024 or 25. You will be working with small groups of students to provide intervention support and help within the classroom. As a teaching assistant you will help the teacher maintain a calm and consistent learning environment.

Many pupils are happy and proud to attend the school. Supportive relationships with teachers help most pupils to feel safe in school. There are lots of lunchtime and after-school activities in which pupils can take part. For example, some pupils make the most of clubs, such as volleyball, weightlifting, table tennis and ceramics. Pupils appreciate opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, such as being school prefects and student council representatives.
